Kronos Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Corison Winery, trade sheet (hentet 17. okt. 2026): 2010 Corison Kronos Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Vintage-note (producentens tekst, engelsk): Three years of drought broke with a rainy spring in 2010. We got a late start to the season with very cool weather that delayed bud break, flowering and fruit-set by a couple of weeks. Cooler than normal summer temperatures continued into one of the coldest ripening seasons I have ever seen. At the eleventh hour a gorgeous Indian Summer set in, bringing the grapes to full ripeness. I love the 2010 Kronos. A tiny crop of scraggly clusters with tiny berries resulted in a wine of uncommon depth and concentration. Complex plum and boysenberry fruit play with baking spices, peppermint, cocoa and dusty mineral grace notes on the palate. Every so often I catch an elusive whiff of Daphne; the characteristic Kronos Vineyard floral perfume is already emerging.
