Producentens noter (engelsk): The first thought that comes to mind thinking back to the 2006 vintage are the notorious power cuts we experienced that year. Fearing the idea of running fermentations without proper cooling our Generator was installed just in time. 2006 saw the much needed rains during vintage late February which enabled us to leave the grapes hanging on the vines longer with the vineyard getting a renewed boost and leaves staying greener for longer before discolouring yellow. Our Cabernet Sauvignon turned out to be more classical in style expressing more depth and structure rather than the richness the wine showed the previous two vintages. Elegance and follow through where the norm of the 2006 vintage for our Boekenhoutskloof Cabernet Sauvignon.
