Ferrum Chardonnay 2022

Producentens noter (engelsk): A touch of flint and a stony minerality makes this a steelier and more linear expression than the maiden vintage, although the palate is sumptuous; key lime pie and a tart lemon curd are cut with grapefruit pulp and golden delicious apple. Vinification: Whole-bunch pressed with no enzymes, SO2 or commercial yeasts added at pressing. After an overnight rough-settling, the juice was sent to barrel, with fermentation and ageing taking place over 10 months in a 2600L Foudre.
