Producentens noter (engelsk): Om vinen: This wine is a tribute to all old vine Tinta Baroccas of South Africa, which for a long time have supported some beautifully fine ‘red blends’ but seldom got the recognition they deserve. A blend three vineyards all aged over 40 years - of origin Stellenbosch and Swartland - grown on a soil combination of Bokkeveld shale, decomposed granite and clay. Producentens noter (engelsk): Winemaking: Natural and gentle winemaking procedures were followed in the cellar, allowing the vineyards to speak and express themselves in the wine. 25% whole bunches and gentle punch downs by hand twice daily. After 3 weeks of maceration on skins, grapes were basket-pressed to barrel. Matured for 16 months in older, French oak barrels. No fining.
