Greywacke Pinotage 2018

Chamonix, producentens vinside (hentet 18. okt. 2026): 2018 Chamonix Greywacke Pinotage; druer: Pinotage; alkohol 14%. Producentens noter (engelsk): Vinifikation: At Harvest the grapes is handpicked, the grapes are sorted and fermented in stainless steel tanks (carbonic maceration) for 14 days on the skins. The Ripasso inspired technique is used where partly dried grapes are added whole for a second fermentation for 7 days on the skins. The grapes are pressed and after malolactic fermentation the wine is matured for 18 months in 228ℓ French oak barrels with 20% new being new oak. Producentens noter (engelsk): Smagsnote: The Greywacke Pinotage has a deep garnet red colour with tinges of dark violets. The bouquet is complex with scents recalling wild berries, spice, and cherries. On the palate the wine shows full body and rich dark chocolate with fruit flavours, balanced elegantly by tannins, with a long and lingering finish that reveals a sweetness reminiscent of liquorice.
