Kalmoesfontein Red Blend 2022

Badenhorst Family Wines Kalmoesfontein Red Blend – område: Swartland; 33% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 14% Cinsault, 12% Tinta Barroca, 8% Mourvèdre, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Touriga Nacional. Producentens noter (engelsk): Vineyard/vinification: Small parcels of selected fruit are sourced from seven vineyards on Kalmoesfontein. All the grapes get harvested, by hand, on the same day and refrigerated overnight. Around 40% of the grapes are destemmed – the whole bunches are “foot stomped” to extract juice to assist the onset of natural fermentation. Fermented in closed concrete tanks & left on their skins for 3 to 6 months before pressing. Producentens noter (engelsk): Tasting notes: Blackberry, red plum, spice, earthy tannins, savoury finish
