Producentens noter (engelsk): ESCARPMENT ‘ROSE’ PINOT ROSÉ 2023 FROM 100% MARTINBOROUGH PINOT NOIR. OUR ROSÉ IS FASHIONED IN A CRISP, DRY STYLE, MADE FAMOUS BY THE PROVENCE REGION IN FRANCE. WINEMAKERS NOTE After many years of creating full-bodied Pinot Noir, we decided to craft a rosé from this exemplary grape variety. A cooler growing season, driven by the La Nina weather pattern, has given us a bright and fresh Rosé. Select parcels of fruit have been wild fermented in old French oak barriques, to add texture and depth. Taking inspiration from the great Rose’s of Provence, the wine is a delicate light copper colour. The refreshing palate reveals crisp natural acidity along with a balanced finish, making it a perfect accompaniment to summer celebrations. TASTING Summer berries, along with a lifted perfume and a crunchie freshness, are Noir. The palate is full of strawberries and cream but also crisp and dry, with a long finish and lively acidity. Made to be drunk young and perfect Stelvin Screw Cap the hallmarks of this Rosé and are attributed to the use of 100% Pinot on a warm summers evening. Totally refreshing.
