Krug (hentet 2. nov. 2026): Krug Clos du Mesnil 2002 exalts the extreme purity of one of the finest terroirs in Champagne – a single walled plot of vines, the Clos du Mesnil – and of a single grape variety, Chardonnay - from a single year, 2002. A chiselled and elegant expression of its terroir, Krug Clos du Mesnil 2002 is the 16 th champagne from this unique plot, the first was created from the 1979 harvest. The 2002 wines from Clos du Mesnil were highly expressive, bright and undeniably elegant all at once. Tasting notes: At first sight, a bright and luminous golden colour of ripe wheat. On the nose, aromas of citrus fruit, white pepper and spices, slightly grilled nuts and brioche. On the palate, it is precise, pure and fresh with tension, vivacity and great balance. Notes of peach, orange, citrus fruit and liquorice are all enhanced by a very long finish.
