Krug (hentet 2. nov. 2026): Krug Clos du Mesnil 2008 exalts the extreme purity of one of the finest terroirs in Champagne – a single walled plot of vines, the Clos du Mesnil – and of a single grape variety, Chardonnay - from a single year, 2008. A chiselled and elegant expression of its terroir, Krug Clos du Mesnil 2008 is the 20 th champagne from this unique plot, the first was created from the 1979 harvest. Krug Clos du Mesnil 2008 exhibits elegance, length, distinction, and a delicately chiselled structure. It is both silky and inviting. Tasting notes: At first sight, a light, golden mineral hue. On the nose, notes of citrus, lightly toasted aromas, orange madeleine and the menthol signature of this small plot. On the palate, citrus in all its forms and grapefruit skin give way to ripe and candied citrus flavours and notes of barley sugar, with a delightful bitterness. This champagne is elegant and chiselled, all the while silky and generous.
