Argiano (hentet 13. okt. 2026): Solengo 2018 – IGT Toscana Druer: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese (producentens tekniske ark). Alkohol: 14.5 % vol. Jord (producentens tekst, engelsk): Marl, ancient clay with high-level of limestone. Højde (producentens tekst, engelsk): From 280 to 310 meters above sea level. Vinmarker (producentens tekst, engelsk): From 22 to 15 years old. Vejret (producentens tekst, engelsk): The 2018 vintage began with average winter temperatures, later in February/ March we saw some frost and snow waves. Spring started with a fairly mild April, rainfall was circumscribed, and in May we had substantial rainfall. After a warm and dry June, we had a drop in temperatures in mid-July with some scattered hailstorms that caused a delay in the phenological stages of the vines, and full veraison had to wait until the end of July. In the early days of September, a north wind ensured good cluster concentration andabsence of serious secondary diseases, allowing the grapes to ripen well until harvest. The harvest period was characterized by good weather and mild temperatures. Høst (producentens tekst, engelsk): Between September and October. Vinifikation (producentens tekst, engelsk): Varieties were fermented separately, with about 15 days on the skins. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in cement tanks. Lagring (producentens tekst, engelsk): About 18 months in French barriques of producers specially chosen for this wine. 60% new and 40% second use. TASTING NOTES BY BERNARDINO SANI, CEO AND WINEMAKER: It is a balanced and harmonious Solengo. Spicy on the nose, with pleasing notes of berries.
